Professional Experience

Owen Colligan is a highly experienced private equity investor with a long track record of growing lower middle-market businesses.  Owen founded Hunter Valley Company in 2012 and is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with investors and financial intermediaries, sourcing and executing acquisition opportunities, and oversight of portfolio company investments.

Prior to founding Hunter Valley, Owen was the co-founder and former Managing Director of Rockwood Equity Partners, a private equity firm focused on investing in lower middle-market companies.  

Prior to forming Rockwood, Owen worked in the New York and Hong Kong offices of Kelley Drye & Warren as a corporate attorney specializing in mergers and acquisitions, and also briefly worked as an investment banker at Schroder & Co. in New York.

Owen received a B.S. in finance from SUNY Buffalo, a J.D. from New York University, and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
